Station 7C Helps a Neighbor
Updated On: Apr 24, 2013
Henley, Behrens and Mercer helping to replace siding.

The crew of Station 7 C-shift, while making a run, recognized a need in their district and took action to help a citizen. The Station came together, and with the financial help of the Garland Firefighters Association,  made much needed repairs to a home on Bayshore Dr. The resident, an elderly female,  was very upset regarding a recent Code violation and had no family or community support to make the needed repairs. The crew from A-7 made a list of needed repairs and got the whole station involved, including some swing Lt's. Progress is still being made, but the homeowner is very happy with the results, up to this point. This is not the first instance that Station 7 has been involved in helping the community. B-shift just completed a playhouse for Habitat for Humanity and A-shift just made much needed repairs to another home in their district. This embodies what your Association stands for. Helping the community in every way possible and ensuring the support of those that we serve. Thank you to Station 7 for making a difference in the community, not only with emergency services, but in the quality of the citizens lives.
